"Design must reflect the practical and aesthetic in business... but above all, good design must primarily serve people." This quote by Thomas J. Watson fittingly sums up my approach to design. Good design must be functional
rather than decorative.
I'm currently studying "Information Design" at FH
Joanneum Graz, majoring in "Media Design". In my free time I’m passionate
about travelling, learning languages, creating art, playing computer games
and being in nature - all of which ignite the creative spark in me. A few years year ago, I took up a part-time job with
ISCN GmbH, a Graz-based software and consulting company, where I mainly
work in the area of video production and marketing as well as editorial
design.

FH Joanneum, University of Applied Sciences in Graz • 2016 - Present
"Information Design" at FH Joanneum provides students with professional instruction in the areas of graphic design, typography, web design, interactive multimedia design, interface design, audio and video production, history of design as well as 3D animation. I’ve been studying “Information Design” since October 2016 and I’ve learned how to create impactful videos, graphic design as well as innovative apps and webpages. I’m going to complete my bachelor's degree in autumn 2019.
ISCN GmbH• 2016 - Present
Since 2016, I have been working part-time for ISCN GmbH in Graz. Among other things, I’m responsible for designing conference posters and company flyers. The absolute highlight of my activities, however, is filming company events and making promotional videos. I've also been entrusted with interface design for a web tool for the automotive industry and with assisting with conference management activities. Together with a team of dedicated design students, I created an app for the annual EuroSPI conference (which brings together leading experts in the fields of automotive and medical engineering), with the aim of introducing a paperless conference programme. This app, which serves as an information and guidance system for conference participants, was first introduced at the 2018 conference in Bilbao, Spain, and well-received by the attendees.
Instahelp is a start-up company specializing in mental health and professional online coaching. It was awarded the “Start-up of the Year Award 2018” at the 4GameChangers Festival.
I did this project for "UX Design".
Team: Laura Aschbacher, Leonora Bunjaku, Niklas Dostal
My Contribution: I created the concept, filmed and worked on the post-production.
This promotional video was produced for Okto-TV during the major "Media Design”. Okto is a non-commercial TV station in Vienna, where anyone with an interest in media and a creative mind can turn their ideas and concepts into a TV show to be aired on the channel. At present, more than 500 enthusiastic individuals produce over 100 series that are regularly broadcast on Okto.
Team: Laura Aschbacher, Max Haditsch, Mario Karner
My Contribution: I mainly worked on the concept as well as the post-production.
This corporate video was made for the Graz-based theatre company “Theater im Bahnhof” during the major “Media Design”. The students’ task was to produce a short film which reflects the theatre group’s ironic motto “Sehr brav!” (well-behaved). We did this by staging a dinner scene, which starts out as an event where everybody behaves themselves. But soon people begin to misbehave and the situation gets out of hand, resulting in a complete mess. The music is “Jazz : Big Band : Swing” by Paul Tyan.
Team: Laura Aschbacher, Hana Vyslouzilová, Mario Karner, Elisabeth Hacker, Max Haditsch
My Contribution: I worked on the sound design and set design of the project and assisted with the organisation.
The “Little Fox” is a short 3D animation, I made with Cinema 4D. I sculpted and rigged the character and made all the camera animations. This task was carried out for the undergraduate “3D Animation“ course.
3D Animation, 3D ModellingIn September 2018, I was part of the organisational team at the annual IT-conference EuroSPI (www.eurospi.net) in Bilbao, Spain, where I made this event video, which was published in March 2019 on the EuroSPI YouTube channel. The music is “Uplifting Inspiring Upbeat Corporate” and was downloaded from AudioJungle.
Camera, Sound Design, Post-ProductionI designed a flyer for ISCN in 2016, which was handed out to customers and distributed to participants at the EuroSPI Conferences in 2017 and 2018. ISCN, which is a certified training partner of the “German Automotive Association”, organises events, workshops, training, and coaching for the automotive industry.
Concept, Editorial Design"Die Graslerei", the first coffee shop in Graz, opened in 2017. This film documents how a team of four set up their shop and gives some insight
into this line of business. The video was made during the major "Media Design".
Team: Laura Aschbacher, Sarah Mair, Benjamin Ressi
My Contribution: I worked on the sound design, took a few camera shots and contributed to the post-production.
“Zombie Archer” is an animation I made during my undergraduate studies in 2018, when I was also doing archery in real life. The characters and the boat were downloaded from Mixamo. I had to adjust the animation and animate parts that weren't animated and I designed the environment around the characters.
3D Animation, 3D Modelling“Capability Adviser” is a web-tool, which helps teams of assessors in assessing automotive development processes, and is used corporate-wide in companies like VW, BOSCH, etc. During my professional internship at ISCN I developed the user interface design of the latest software release.
Interface Design, Web DesignThe “Red Fox “is a character I designed when working on a game design project during my undergraduate studies.
Character Design, Game DesignThis banner was designed by me for EuroSPI 2018, an international IT-conference organised by ISCN. It will be reused for future events.
Print DesignThis video was inspired by the poem “Antigonish” by William Hughes Mearns (1875–1965), which is based on reports of a man’s ghost roaming the stairs of a haunted house in Antigonish, Canada. The music is “Nightsky” by Tracey Chattaway and the video was made during the major "Media Design".
Team: Laura Aschbacher, Hana Vyslouzilová
My Contribution: I worked on the concept, the 2D animation with Photoshop and After Effects,
took daily photos for the stop motion animation and I am also responsible for the sound design.
The app was developed for the international EuroSPI conference series in 2018. I designed the interface and worked together with programmers to get the app running.
Interface DesignI redesigned this logo as part of an app design project conducted by ISCN for the annual EuroSPI Conference.
Graphic DesignI created my own trailer for the movie "The Fox and the Child" for "Sound Design". The footage is not my own, it was downloaded from YouTube. I deleted the original sound and replaced it with my own sound design and voice recordings. The music is “Child of Light OST 06. Patches of Sky” by Coeur De Pirate.
Sound DesignI made this banner for ISCN GmbH to increase the company's visibility at events and exhibitions. The banner was created together with the ISCN flyer in 2016.
